Admissions Coordinator

Location: Minneapolis, MN & Remote

Format: Hybrid (remote/in-person); Full time (40 hours/week)

The Admission Coordinator’s goal is to help build the relationship between Prime and prospective students. Core responsibilities involve providing candidates with a welcoming first experience with Prime. The Admission Coordinator role guides prospective students through the admission process and career exploration journey- often serving as the primary contact person throughout. The Admission Coordinator seeks to connect incoming students to information about our programs, process and continues to provide them with relevant, timely information regarding their candidacy for our programs. Through these interactions with incoming students, the Admission Coordinator provides data points and information that helps to inform admissions decisions.

This role will work both on-campus, with the possibility of remote after full training and observation. This position is full-time (40hrs/week). Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Connect with candidates looking at our programs, responding to their questions, and sharing about the Prime experience - including industry and program-specific information 
  • Scoring, interviewing candidates and documenting notes for Director review
  • Maintaining communication with candidates for our programs
  • Document and share recommendations regarding candidates following their application and interview
  • Manage and produce events that share information and connect candidates to Prime 
  • Occasionally represent Prime at community events
  • Assist Department with other duties as assigned


Skills and Qualifications

  • Skill and excitement around building relationships and trust quickly and authentically
  • Empathy and compassion for the adult-as-student experience 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to adapt interaction style for different audiences
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and great at follow-through
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated and success-driven within guidelines and metrics that are being actively defined and iterated upon
  • Able to offer accurate information and timely communication, responding promptly to requests for service and assistance
  • Able to synthesize information; interpret data
  • Comfortable engaging and sharing information on the phone, in-person, or on video
  • Education and/or Experience of at least +2 years
  • Preferred: Familiarity with software engineering and user experience design, experience in customer service, human resources or similar field.
  • Preferred: Public speaking or training/onboarding experience
